Loretto, PA.— Merrimack Softball fell by the tightest of margins in their final game of the 2024 season, as they were defeated by the Saint Francis University (PA) Red Flash by a score of 1-0 in nine innings on Sunday afternoon.
The Warriors had stellar pitching as
Madie Fornwalt scattered three hits and had four strikeouts for eight and two/thirds innings but the Warriors were unable to push a run across despite aggressive baserunning.
The Red Flash scored the game's lone run on a sacrifice fly to right field to take the win.
