Softball Drops Heartbreaker To St.Francis (PA) in Season Finale

Loretto, PA.— Merrimack Softball fell by the tightest of margins in their final game of the 2024 season, as they were defeated by the Saint Francis University (PA) Red Flash by a score of 1-0 in nine innings on Sunday afternoon.
 
The Warriors had stellar pitching as Madie Fornwalt scattered three hits and had four strikeouts for eight and two/thirds innings but the Warriors were unable to push a run across despite aggressive baserunning.
 
The Red Flash scored the game's lone run on a sacrifice fly to right field to take the win.

• Courtney Lanpher tripled for her one hit of the game.
• Madison Cerpa had the other Warriors hit.
