Rapid Recap
A Merrimack midweek is almost certainly filled with bullpen arms and that's what skipper
Brian Murphy would turn to once again.
Colby Barker would start on the bump, pitching an inning before being replaced by
Casey Hegan. The offense for the Warriors was opened up with a
Christian Gemelli homer on the first at bat of the ball game. MC would pile on five more runs in the second inning to take a massive 6-0 lead. The Merrimack pen would give the Riverhawks fits through the first five innings giving up just one hit. UML would finally get to the Warriors pitching in innings six and seven striking for 5 runs. It would be a 7-5 MC lead heading into the 8th as Lowell had built up some momentum. However, it would be
Frankie Ferrentino using his power to blast a homerun off the left field scoreboard to give the Warriors a four run lead at 9-5.
Jack Collins would come in in the 9th to close it out leading the Blue and Gold to their seventh straight victory.
