Christian Thomas

Christian Thomas, a 2021 graduate of Merrimack College, has returned to his alma mater as an assistant coach, leading the Warriors’ offense. A Massachusetts native, Thomas brings a wealth of playing and coaching experience to his role, further cementing his connection to the program where he achieved significant success as a student-athlete.

Previously, Thomas joined the Harvard men’s lacrosse staff as the director of lacrosse operations in August 2023. His time at Harvard marked his second stop in collegiate coaching, following a stint as a volunteer assistant coach at Merrimack during the 2023 season. That year, he helped guide the Warriors to a seven-win campaign, their highest win total since transitioning to Division I in 2020.

In addition to his collegiate coaching roles, Thomas has coached for the 4Leaf Lacrosse Club for six years, working with players from 4th grade through high school. With 4Leaf, he focused on player development through structured practice plans and youth camps.

As a player, Thomas was one of the most prolific goal scorers in Merrimack lacrosse history, finishing his career ranked fourth on the program’s all-time scoring list. A three-time team captain, he led the Warriors’ attack to back-to-back NCAA Division II National Championships in 2018 and 2019, earning National Championship Game MVP honors in 2018 after a 10-point performance. His numerous accolades include being named a 2019 DII All-American, two NEILA All-New England selections, and recognition on the NE10 All-Conference Third Team (2019) and NE10 All-Rookie Team (2018).

Now back at Merrimack, Thomas is committed to furthering the program’s success while mentoring the next generation of Warriors.
