ATLANTIC CITY, N.J. – The top-seeded Merrimack Warriors will take the floor against No. 3 Siena in the MAAC Men's Basketball Championship at Boardwalk Hall on Tuesday night.
The Warriors (23-10, 17-3 in MAAC) advanced to the title game after blowing out Sacred Heart in the quarterfinals and pulling out a thriller against Marist in the semifinals. Merrimack received a first-round bye after it won the regular-season title. Siena advanced past No. 6 Mount St. Mary's and No. 7 Fairfield en route to the conference championship.
The winner will advance to NCAA Division I Men's Basketball Tournament, which would mark the first time in program history that the Warriors took part in March Madness.Â
The heightened stakes bring a national broadcast with Tuesday's game set to be aired on ESPN2. John Avino and Jacob Van Ryn will be on the radio call for Merrimack Sports Network, as well.
