North Anodver, MA- The Merrimack Softball team picked up two wins to complete their three game sweep of the Stonehill Skyhawks on a cold windy Friday afternoon at Martone-Mejail Field.
GAME 1: The game was scoreless through the first three innings before Stonehill grabbed the lead in the fourth inning scoring twice with two one out hits. The Warriors however would tie the score in the bottom of the fifth inning
Sydney Shinopulos would score
Thiana Brito from first on a single to left field.
Sam Russalesi was then inserted into the game as pinch runner, she would make an impact immediately stealing second and scoring as the tying run as
Ellen Hubbard continued her hot streak at the plate with an RBI double. The Warriors completed the comeback in the next inning after
Madison Cerpa would score from second after a line drive hit from
Sofia Palyan.

Ellen Hubbard led the team with two hits, including an RBI double.

Viviana Bocanegra, and
Sydney Shinopulos had one hit each.
Madie Fornwalt gave up three hits over five innings, striking out three.
Katelyn Thompson earned her first win of the season pitching two innings, recording six outs on six straight batters.
GAME 2: The Warriors picked up right where they left off in game one, scoring two quick runs right out of the chute, with
Madison Cerpa scoring
Ellen Hubbard with a sacrifice fly. Two batters later
Sofia Palyan scored
Courtney Lanpher to make the score 2-0. Stonehill would score a run in the fourth to cut the lead to one, but
Bry Michitson would only allow three more hits in the game to close out the sweep.
