Chandler Ortega Named NE-10 Rookie of the Week

NORTH ANDOVER, MA – After winning the Shacklette Invitational, Chandler Ortega (Pittsfield, MA) was named the Northeast-10 Rookie of the Week.

Ortega captured the event in a time of 19:37.9, leading Merrimack to a second-place finish at Saturday's event.

It was the fastest time by a Merrimack runner at the Shacklette Invite in at least four seasons.

Merrimack is idle this Saturday before competing in the Codfish Bowl on September 24.
