Meagher Leads Womens Cross Country to Seventh Place Finish

COLCHESTER, VT – Senior Katie Meagher (Mansfield,
MA) posted the top time for the Merrimack women’s
cross country team, leading the Warriors to a seventh-place finish
at the Northeast-10 Championship Sunday at Saint Michael’s
College.
Meagher was 14th overall in a time of 19:25.2. Other top Merrimack
runners included Ashley Sarris (Shelton, CT)
(48th, 20:13.5), Jennifer Richard (Wendall, MA)
(51st, 20:19.7), Caitlin Kasala-Hallinan (Worcester,
MA) (64th, 20:37.5), Rebecca Ainscow (Derry,
NH) (71st, 20:44.2), and Christina Fisher
(Mansfield Center, CT) (72nd, 20:47.5).
For her efforts, Meagher was named to the Northeast-10
All-Conference second team.
Stonehill captured the meet with 37 overall points, followed by
UMass Lowell with 53 points. Southern Connecticut’s Laura
Brustolon was the top runner (18:03.8), followed by
Stonehill’s Erin Carmone (18:23.2).
Merrimack concludes the season at the Northeast Regionals on
December 8.
