TARA STUHR EARNS NE-10 WEEKLY HONOR FOR FIFTH TIME IN HER CAREER
NORTH ANDOVER, Mass. – After a dominate week on offense, freshman setter Tara Stuhr(Huntington Beach, Calif.) has been named the Northeast-10 Conference Rookie of the Week for the fifth time this season, as announced by the league office Tuesday afternoon.
Stuhr, who was named the league's top rookie the week on Oct. 29th, enjoyed another stellar performance averaging 12.38 assists and 2.12 digs per set in the Warriors' 2-0 week.
She dished out 52 assists and chimed in with nine digs in a 3-1 road win against Northeast-10 rival Assumption College on Tuesday night. She also posted a team-high two service aces, as well as recording two kills. Stuhr then led the Warriors to a 3-1 victory against American International College with 47 assists and eight digs. In addition, she posted four kills and four block assists on the afternoon.
On the year, Stuhr has been a key component to the Warriors success. This season the Huntington Beach native, has recorded a total of 969 assists, which ranks her fourth in the All-Time rankings, while standing fifth in the single-season rankings in assists. The freshman has also recorded five double-doubles on the season and posted a career-high 54 assists against Bentley University.
The Warriors return to action tonight for a home match against Saint Michael's College starting at 7:30 p.m.
