STUHR EARNS NE-10 WEEKLY HONOR FOR SECOND WEEK IN A ROW
NORTH ANDOVER, Mass. – After a dominate week on offense, freshman setter Tara Stuhr (Huntington Beach, Calif.) has been named the Northeast-10 Conference Rookie of the Week, as announced by the league office Tuesday afternoon.
Stuhr, who was named the league's top rookie last week, enjoyed another stellar performance averaging 10.50 assists and 1.67 digs per set in the Warriors' 2-1 week.
She dished out 41 assists and had seven digs in a 3-2 road loss against Northeast-10 rival Franklin Pierce on Tuesday night. Stuhr then led the Warriors to a 3-0 sweep of Le Moyne College with 40 assists and seven digs on Friday night before registering 45 assists and six digs in a huge, 3-1, win over the College of Saint Rose Saturday night.
On the year, Stuhr has been a key component to the Warriors success. This season the Huntington Beach native, has recorded a total of 767 assists, which ranks her fourth in the All-Time record book. The freshman has also recorded four double-doubles on the season and posted a game-high 54 assists against Bentley Univeristy on Oct. 15th.
The Warriors return to action tonight for a home match against Stonehill College starting at 7 p.m.
