WARRIORS UNABLE TO STOP THE GOLDEN LIONS OFFENSE ON SATURDAY
NORTH ANDOVER, Mass. – Junior Stephanie Sheehan (Smithtown, N.Y.) had a team-high 16 kills, but the Merrimack College women's volleyball team dropped a 3-0 decision to Dowling College Saturday afternoon at Hammel Court.

How It Happened
The Warriors's dropped a tough first set to Dowling, 25-22. Merrimack recovered nicely going into the second game, but was unable to stop the Golden Lion's offense from taking the set, 25-23. Deep in the third set, the Warriors found themselves at 24-21 deficit before tying the game at 24-all. The Warriors were unable to finish and Dowling took set three, 26-24.
Merrimack's offense was led by freshman Tara Stuhr (Huntington Beach, Calif.) as she dished out a team-high 39 assists. Senior Jackie Jones (Amherst, N.H.) and freshman Jennifer Cain (Melrose, Mass.) registered eight kills respectively. Junior Aliya Winker (Arlington, Va.) contributed three blocks on the afternoon.

"It was a disappointing loss coming off two big win's against Saint Anselm and Post," said head coach TJ Hajjar. "We will have to make some adjustments before we take on Southern New Hampshire on Tuesday."
