Women’s Track 10th at Skyhawk Invite; Set for NE-10 Championships

EASTON, MA – The Merrimack women's track team competed at the Skyhawk Invitational over the weekend, preparing for next weekend's Northeast-10 Championship.

Sending a limited squad, sophomore Bailey DeNisco was sixth in the long jump at 4.83 meters and 17th in the 100 meters.

Andrea Chepa-Cerviatti was 12th in the 400 meters, while Brianna Devereaux (Londonderry, NH) was 13th in the 800 meters.

Ashley Sarris (Shelton, CT) took sixth in the 400 meter hurdles, with Rachel Lozeau (Nashua, NH) taking seventh in the javelin at 32.16 meters.

The Skyhawk Invite got the Warriors prepared for their first-ever Northeast-10 Championship, which is next Friday and Saturday at UMass Lowell.

"Last night was a good tune up as we get ready for the Northeast-10 Championship next weekend," said head coach Matt Pimentel. "Everyone is peaking at the right time, putting our program in good position to perform well at the conference meet."
