HAMILTON, NY- The Merrimack women's tennis team dropped a 7-0 decision on the road at Colgate Sunday afternoon. The Warriors sink to 3-4 on the year while the Raiders improve to 3-5 overall.

The hosts swept the three doubles matches to claim a 1-0 lead entering singles play. At the second spot, Courtney Garvey (Woburn, MA) and Alyx Barnes (Portsmouth, NH) suffered an 8-2 loss. Mollie Fitzgerald (Melrose, MA) and Erin McMahon (Wilmington, MA) also lost 8-2 at the No. 3 doubles position.

Messina dropped a 6-1, 6-2 decision at the top singles slot to Colgate's Alex Petrini while Hole fell 6-2, 6-4 at the second position. Garvey was edged 7-5 in the second set after losing the first 6-1 at the No. 3 singles match.
