Merrimack Student Athletes Named to NE10 Fall 2010 Commissioner’s Honor Roll

SOUTH EASTON, Mass.- The Northeast-10 Conference recently released the Fall 2010 Commissioner's Honor Roll. Merrimack garnered 199 honorees, 53% of the entire student-athlete population.

Eight students posted a 4.0 GPA in the fall of 2010. Football's Peter Early (Ward Hill, Mass.) and Michael Wootan (Georgetown, Mass.) were the only teammates to boast a 4.0 in the fall. Petar Golijanin (Novi Sad, Serbia), Elizabeth Hopley (Cromwell, Conn.), Michael Laracy (Weymouth, Mass.), Kara Melillo (North Andover, Mass.), Ashley Nadeau (Canton, Mass.) and Heidi Wroblicky (Irvine, Calif.) each accomplished the feat as well.

Merrimack had 75 students earn a GPA between 3.5 and 3.99 and 116 with a GPA between 3.0 and 3.49.

The Merrimack football team lauded 31 athletes on the Commissioner's Honor Roll, the most of any team. The Warriors' women's soccer squad sported 25 recipients. The baseball and men's soccer teams each had 20 student-athletes named to the honor roll while men's lacrosse placed 18 on the list.
