Women’s Soccer Receiving Votes in NSCAA Preseason Poll

NORTH ANDOVER, MA – The Merrimack women's soccer team is receiving votes for the top 25 in the National Soccer Coaches Association of America (NSCAA) preseason poll.

The Warriors are one of three Northeast-10 Conference teams in the poll with defending National Champions, Saint Rose, taking the top spot while UMass Lowell ranked 17th.

The first rankings of the 2012 regular season will be released September 4. 

The Warriors finished off their 2011 season with an overall record of 16-4-2, qualifying for the NCAA Tournament and falling in the second round to Saint Rose.

Merrimack defeated Saint Rose in their only regular season game by the score of 3-0 in front of a packed Martone-Mejail Field.

The Warriors will kick off the 2012 season on Friday, August 31 at 4:00 p.m. as they will take on Molloy.
