Four Soccer Warriors among NEWISA All-New Englanders

NORTH ANDOVER, MA – The New England Women's
Intercollegiate Soccer Association (NEWISA) announced the 2009
Division II All-New England team with four members of the Merrimack
women’s soccer team among the recipients.
Senior captains Jackie Vickers (Norwell, MA) and
Gabrielle Gramprey (Brockton, MA) were two of the
four forwards on the First Team selection having led Merrimack to
the NCAA Tournament for the third straight season.
Gramprey (13G, 8A) and Vickers (3G, 3A) led a Warriors offense
that out-scored the opposition 41-23 on the year en route to a
13-6-4 overall record and 25th straight 10-win season for the
Merrimack program under head coach Gabe
Mejail.
Junior midfielder Kerri Domohowski (Saugus, MA)
and junior defender Lindsey deMont (Littleton, MA)
were also recognized by the NEWISA on the All-New England Second
Team.
On the year, Domohowski and deMont combined for 17 points as two
of Domohowski’s four goals were game-winners and deMont
dished out a team-best six assists among defenders.
