Gramprey Named to Daktronics All East Region First Team
NORTH ANDOVER, MA - Senior captain Gabrielle Gramprey (Brockton, MA), one of four forwards, was named to the Daktronics, Inc. All-East Region Women's Soccer First Team, it was announced on Tuesday.
Gramprey helped the Warrior women to the program's ninth NCAA Tournament berth in the previous eleven years and third straight in her career with 34 points on 13 goals and eight assists.
With 82 career games, Gramprey ends her four years as only the 11th member of the 100-point club (114 points) at Merrimack and ranks seventh all-time among Warrior soccer players.
Gramprey also became only the eighth player in Merrimack women's soccer history to score 30 goals and 30 assists in a career and the first since 2004 (Laurie Lamoureux '05).
A total of 13 institutions are represented on the 2009 Daktronics, Inc. East Region Women's Soccer First or Second Teams. The College of St. Rose tops the list with four selections, followed by Franklin Pierce, Holy Family University and the University of Bridgeport with three each.
