McGarr Named Second Team All-American; Gramprey Honorable Mention
NORTH ANDOVER, MA. - Hillary McGarr (North Dighton, MA) has been
named a second-team Daktronics All American, while sophomore
Gabrielle Gramprey (Brockton, MA) received an honorable mention
nod.
McGarr is the first women’s soccer player to receive this
honor since Lindsay Sheffield made the distinguished team in 2003
and 2004.
McGarr was second on the Warriors with 18 points (five goals, eight
assists). She finishes her Warrior career as a four-time
Northeast-10 all-star, three-time New England all-star, two-time
Regional All-American and the 2004 Rookie of the Year.
Gramprey led the Warriors in goals (10), assists (9), points (29),
and shots-on-goal (36). She is a two-time all-conference selection
and makes her first appearance as a regional and All-American
all-star.
Merrimack finished its season 13-5-4, after losing to Saint Rose
3-1 in the second round of the NCAA Tournament.
