NORTH ANDOVER, Mass. – Taking the field for the first time since last May, the Merrimack College women's lacrosse team begins the 2014 campaign on Sunday, March 2, when it hosts Findlay University in a non-conference battle at Martone-Mejail Field.

The Basics
Date/Time: Sunday, Mar. 2, 2014 | 12 p.m.
Records:
 Merrimack (0-0) | Findlay (0-0) (as of 2/28/14)
Location:
Martone-Mejail Field | North Andover, Mass.

A Brief Look Back
The Warriors finished the 2013 season posting a 5-11 overall record and a conference mark of 4-8, missing the Northeast-10 Conference Tournament for the first time in six seasons. The Navy and Gold also had several highlights, including an overtime home win over a nationally ranked Dowling College.

As a team, Merrimack was one of the top teams in the country in caused turnovers and ground balls, ranking 29th and fifth, respectively, in those categories. A driving force behind those stats was former midfielder Jenn Pino (North Andover, Mass.), who finished last spring 19th in the nation averaging 3.13 ground balls per game.

The Warriors also finished with an impressive 5-2 record at home while wrapping up the campaign with two wins in their final three outings.
