NORTH ANDOVER, Mass. – The Merrimack College women's golf team hits the course for the first time this fall on Saturday, Sept. 7, as the Warriors travel to compete in the Wellesley Invitational.

The Merrimack College women's golf team is coming off a tremendous 2012-2013 campaign that claimed the program's first-ever ECAC Championship. Last season was the Warriors' second year competing as a varsity program at the Division II level.
Merrimack started the year on a high note, defeating Wellesley for its first-ever dual match victory back in early September. The Warriors wrapped up the 2012 fall season with two victories and finished in fourth place or better in all tournaments they partook in. Moving into the spring, the Warriors opened the 2013 campaign competing against some of the nation's top teams. The Warriors managed to place three competitors in the top-five en route to the program's first-ever ECAC crown.
- Merrimack returns all of its core players under third-year head coach Nick Crovetti.
- Senior Jessica Ngui (Richardson, Texas) was the runner-up at the ECAC Championships and was mamed to All-ECAC Championship Team.
- Junior Ali Reed (Westborough, Mass.) became the first player in program history to advance to both the NCAA Regionals and NCAA Championships after shooting a 75-82-78=235 in the regionals, and placing sixth.
