AMHERST, MA- The Merrimack women's golf team closed out the spring season at the Jack Leaman Championships hosted by Amherst College Sunday. The tournament was held at the par-72 Orchards Golf Club spanning 5,838 yards.
"I thought we played well all weekend and I am really proud of these three golfers. Our team has worked extremely hard all year long and they have made tremendous strides," said head coach Nick Crovetti. "We have had many great successes in our first season we will look to improve in the offseason."
Ali Reed (Westborough, MA) posted team-low score of 87 in round two to finish in 35th place in the tournament.
Lloyd Hoehle (Fullerton, CA) was the Warriors' highest finisher at the event, tying for 28th place. Hoehle shot a 94 in the second round after carding an 81 on day one. Bethany Arnold (Wrentham, MA) turned in a score of 192 on the weekend to cap off her rookie season with a 52nd-place finish, tied with two other golfers.
The Warriors competed in four events this spring and 10 in their first season of play.
