Women’s Golf Competes at Jack Leaman Championships Saturday

AMHERST, MA- The Merrimack women's golf team opened play at the Jack Leaman Championships hosted by Amherst College Saturday with one top-15 golfer. The tournament was held at the par-72 Orchards Golf Club spanning 5,838 yards.

"I thought we played well today and we should do well again tomorrow as we finish out the spring season," said head coach Nick Crovetti. "We have had many great successes in our first season we will look to finish the year strong."

Lloyd Hoehle (Fullerton, CA) posted a team-low 80 on day one to sit in a tie for 14th place in the field of 65 players.

Bethany Arnold (Wrentham, MA) carded a score of 90 in the first round to end day one in a tie for 40th. Ali Reed (Westborough, MA) heads into the second round of golf tied for 46th after shooting a 91 in the opening 18 holes..

The Warriors will close out the spring slate with the second round at the Jack Leaman Championship April 22.
