Hoehle Leads Women’s Golf on Day 1 at Vassar Invitational

POUGHKEEPSIE, NY- Rookie Lloyd Hoehle (Fullerton, CA) finished tied for fourth at the end of day one at the eighth annual Vassar College Invitational to lead the Merrimack women's golf team. Hoehle posted a first-round score of 83, five shots back of the lead.

The event was held at the 5,805-yard Duchess Country Club and boasts a field of 62 golfers.

"After a great first round, we are proud to have a player in the top five for the first time this season," said head coach Nick Crovetti. "I am excited for tomorrow and look forward to the players once again improving upon their scores as they have been all year."

Ali Reed (Westborough, MA) shot a 92 in the opening round to tie for 29th in the tournament. Bethany Arnold (Wrentham, MA) carded a 96 on day one to place 35th entering the final round of play.

The Warriors will wrap up play at the Vassar Invitational with the final 18 holes Sunday, April 15.
