The Merrimack women's golf team will resume its first season of competition March 31 as it opens the spring slate against Rhode Island College at Triggs Memorial Golf Course in Providence, RI.
"We are very excited to start the spring season after a successful fall," said head coach Nick Crovetti. "The team excelled both on and off the course representing Merrimack very well with a 3.8 team GPA and five top-10 finishes. I look forward to continued strong play from all three golfers as we close out our inaugural season."
The Warriors kicked off the fall season with a narrow two-stroke loss at Wellesley in the first-ever event. Merrimack went on to capture back-to-back eighth-place finishes at the NYU and Mount Holyoke Invitationals.
Freshman Ali Reed (Westborough, MA) carded the lowest individual round score and lowest tournament score in the fall. Reed turned in a 79 in the second round at the Wellesley Invitational to go along with a total 162 for the event.
This spring, the Warriors will compete at the Brown Bear Invitational, Vassar College Invitational, Hartford Invitational and the Jack Leaman Championship.
