Title: Softball Pitching Coach

Kristen Mahoney enters her third season in 2014-15 serving as Assistant Softball Coach.

In addition to her coaching duties with the Warriors, Mahoney is entering her fifth season as head coach of the Burlington High School softball program. In 2010 and 2011, Burlington finished first in the Middlesex League. In 2011, Burlington made a playoff run that took them to the State Finals. Along the way, Burlington earned titles of Division II North Champions and Eastern Mass. Champions.

Before coaching at Burlington, Mahoney spent three seasons serving as pitching coach at Northeast-10 Conference rival UMass-Lowell.

Mahoney graduated from UMass-Lowell in 2007 having set nine career pitching records with the River Hawks. Among her records, Mahoney left the River Hawks ranking first in career wins (70), strikeouts (598), shutouts (25), complete games (77) and innings pitched (673.0).

Named captain as a senior, Mahoney led the River Hawks to their first-ever Northeast-10 Conference Tournament title, where she was named the Most Valuable Player. She was also a three-time NE-10 All-Star, two-time NFCA Northeast Region standout, three-time NE-10 All-Academic standout, and a member of the 2007 ESPN The Magazine Academic District 1 Softball Team.
