EASTON, MA The Northeast-10 Conference has announced the members of the Spring 2009 Commissioners Honor Roll. In total, 2,619 student-athletes representing each of the conferences 15 member institutions are included on this years list, including 175 from Merrimack College.
SYRACUSE, NY The Merrimack (26-18) softball team could not manage to put a run on the board against Le Moyne. Le Moyne pitcher Jenna Vanacore limited the Warriors to two hits in seven innings in the first game of the day in Syracuse.
NORTH ANDOVER, MA After a 17-win improvement from last season, the Merrimack softball team reaped its award Friday as Jill Gagnon and Kelsey Ellis were named to the Northeast-10 All-Conference first team, while Elaine Schwager earned Coach of the Year honors.
NORTH ANDOVER, MA Merrimack (27-17) senior Jill Gagnon not only threw her second straight no hitter on Wednesday in the NE-10 first round win against Southern New Hampshire, but she scored the game winning run after pinch hitter Casey Conetta lined a single to left as well.
NEW HAVEN, CT Senior Jill Gagnon (Manchester, NH) did not allow a hit in Merrimacks (25-17, 18-10 NE-10) nine inning 2-1 win. SCSU took game two 4-1 after Owls pitcher Brittany Hill limited Merrimack to only two hits.
NORTH ANDOVER, MA --Merrimack (22-14, 14-6 NE-10) won game one of Senior Day 4-3 over Saint Anselm after putting four early runs up. Despite Kristin LeMay's three home runs in game two the Warriors were defeated 14-13.
RINDGE, NH The Merrimack (21-13, 14-6 NE-10) softball team picked up another win Thursday when Kelsey Ellis hit her fifth home run of the season, a solo home run, lifting Merrimack to a 1-0 victory. The Warriors dropped game one 4-2 to the Ravens.
NORTH ANDOVER, MA Merrimack (20-12, 13-5 NE-10) won game one 7-5 after junior Casey Conetta (Darien, CT) belted a grand slam to put the Warriors up by two in the fifth inning. They dropped game two, 5-1.
ROTTERDAM, NY In game one, senior Jill Gagnon (Manchester, NH) and sophomore Kelsey Ellis (Vancouver, B.C.) belted grand slams in the 12-4 win. The Warriors (17-7, 10-2 NE-10) went on to take game two 12-0 in five innings.
NORTH ANDOVER, MA Merrimack (15-7, 8-2 NE-10) did not allow a run in either of their wins Thursday, taking Lowell 2-0 in the first game and completing their sweep with an 8-0 five inning win in game two.
