SYRACUSE, NY - Merrimack (17-9, 10-4 NE-10) dropped two games on Sunday to #25 LeMoyne losing 7-2 in the first game, and 7-0 in the second.

The Dolphins came out swinging in game one and put four runs up in the first inning alone with three coming from LeMoyne's Jennifer Farrelly and Caitlin O'Neill when they roped back to back doubles to left, knocking in three runs. Merrimack could not get a runner on base in the first game until the third inning when sophomore Rachel Lozeau (Nashua, NH) reached on a single to right. Following her, junior Casey Conetta (Darien, CT) blasted a double to left, scoring Gagnon, and sophomore Kara Melillo (North Andover, MA) stepped up next belting a double to center, scoring Conetta. The Warriors scoring stopped there though and Merrimack managed only six hits in the 7-2 loss.

On the mound senior pitcher Gagnon started the game and pitched three innings, giving up five hits and striking out three. Junior Atlee Cahill (Gloucester, MA) took over for Gagnon in the fourth inning. Cahill gave up four hits and did not walk anyone in her three innings pitched.
