Doherty, Mullin, Men's Cross Country Earn USTFCCCA All-Academic Honors

NORTH ANDOVER, MA – John Doherty (Chelmsford, MA) and Harry Mullin (West Hartford, CT) were named to the USTFCCCA All-Academic team on Wednesday.

Doherty and Mullin are among 182 student-athletes across the country who were named to the squad.

The men's cross country team was one of 68 Division II programs honored for posting a 3.02 GPA.

To qualify for the USTFCCCA All-Academic Track and Field Team in Division II, the student-athlete must have compiled a cumulative grade point average of 3.25 or greater through the most-recent semester, completed at least 12 credit hours in the semester of cross country competition, and placed in the top 50 percent at the most recent NCAA National Championships or in the top 30 percent at the NCAA Regional Championships.

Doherty entered the season as the team's top runner but fought injuries throughout the fall campaign, while Mullin was Merrimack's top runner in the final three meets of the season.
