Doherty, Green Lead Mens Cross Country at NE-10 Championships
COLCHESTER, VT – Sophomore John Doherty
(Chelmsford, MA) led the Merrimack men’s cross
country team at the Northeast-10 Championships at Saint
Michael’s College, finishing 53rd in a time of 27:29.2.
The Warriors, who had a lack of runners due to sickness, did not
run a complete team.
Other Merrimack runners included Connor Green
(Wethersfield, MA) (68th, 27:56.5), Patrick Lawlor
(Haverhill, MA) (112th, 30:37.1), and Brendan
Mormile (West Haven, CT) (117th, 30:49.3).
Stonehill won the team meet with 36 points, followed by Lowell
with 45 points and Southern Connecticut with 99 points. AIC’s
Glarius Rop was the top runner in 24:22.2, with Stonehill’s
Kevin Gill finishing second in 25:04.5.
Merrimack concludes the season at the Northeast Regionals on
December 8.
