Mens Cross Country Places Ninth at Codfish Bowl
BOSTON, MA – John Lawrence (Peabody, MA)
posted the men’s cross country team’s top score,
leading the Warriors to a ninth-place finish among 18 teams at the
Codfish Bowl Saturday.
Lawrence ran in a time of 26:56.2, finishing 40th overall. His
classmate, freshman Harry Mullin (West Hartford,
CT) was right behind him in 44th in 27:02.4. John
Doherty (Chelmsford, MA) was 70th, while Chris
Stanwyck (Chelmsford, MA) finished 81st overall.
The Warriors finished ninth as a team in 2:17:23.11, second among
the three competing Northeast-10 schools, as Bentley was third
overall. Greater Boston TC captured the meet, with Boston Athletic
Association finishing second.
Merrimack will race in the New England Championships on October
10.
