Men’s Track Shines at George Davis Invitational

LOWELL, MA – Led by Ethan Weaver (Brooklyn, CT) and Jesse Fowler (Lynn, MA), the Merrimack men's track team competed at the George Davis Invitational Saturday afternoon.

Weaver was 15th in the 400 meters and 10th in the high jump, qualifying for the Northeast-10 Championship in both races.

Fowler was third in the 200 meters (22:11) and in the triple jump (13.71 meters), also qualifying for the NE-10s.

Also having a stellar day was last week's Northeast-10 Rookie of the Week Josh Henry (Westport, CT), who was second in the triple jump at 13.91 meters. Anthony Baccini also had a strong triple jump performance finishing 10th at 12.85 meters.

Henry Mullin (West Hartford, CT) improved his 3000-meter steeplechase time by 15 seconds, finishing 10th in 10:28.89, while Peter Early (Ward Hill, MA) was 11th in the 100-meters in 11:81.

Merrimack will compete in the Husky Invitational on April 16 in Boston.
