Men’s Track Turns in Career Performances at Terrier Invitational

BOSTON, Mass.- All the members of the Merrimack men's track team that ran at the Terrier Invitational Saturday posted personal best times. Seven runners qualified for the Northeast-10 Conference Championships.

Myles Dechane (Timberlane, N.H.) earned a spot in the men's mile run field at the league championship meet with a time of 4:44.29.

Brendan Moremile (West Haven, Conn.) posted a Northeast-10 qualifying time in the men's 1,000 meter run. Moremile clocked in with a time of 2:42.51.

Five Warriors crossed the finish line with a time worthy of a spot at the Northeast-10 Championships in the men's 5,000 meter run. Harry Mullin (West Hartford, Conn.) led the way with a time of 16:15.46 while John Doherty (Chelmsford, Mass.), John Lawrence (Peabody, Mass.), Pat Lawlor (Haverhill, Mass.) and Evan Mercier (Burlington, Mass.) all accomplished the feat. Nick Novaris (Plaistow, N.H.) came in just shy of the Northeast-10 qualifying mark, missing the time by two seconds but still posting a personal best.

"Our men performed extremely well today and I was very proud of the effort put forth," said head coach Matt Pimentel.

The Warriors return to the Track and Tennis Center at Boston University February 11 for the Valentine's Invitational.
