Men’s Tennis Earns Sixth-Straight NCAA Tournament Bid

NORTH ANDOVER, MA – Following their second-straight Northeast-10 Conference Tournament championship, the Merrimack men's tennis team received the no. 3 seed for the upcoming 2013 NCAA Division II Tennis Championships, as announced Tuesday night.

No. 3 Merrimack will play host to no. 6 Chestnut Hill on Sunday at 12 p.m. while No. 7 Southern New Hampshire will take on no. 2 NYIT at 3 p.m. at North Andover High School on Sunday as well.

The winners of each match will meet on Monday at 10 a.m. with the winner of that match advancing to the Sweet 16.

Merrimack (14-4) received one of the three automatic qualifying bids from the East Region after winning the Northeast-10 Conference regular season and tournament championships. Concordia and NYIT received the other two automatic bids as they won their respective conference tournaments.
