Pahler, Hoare Advance to ITA Quarterfinals

PHILADELPHIA, PA - On day one of the 2009 Wilson ITA Regional Championships at Chestnut Hill College and Philadelphia University, the men's and women's tennis teams squared off against teams from the Northeast region.

For the men's team, sophomore Sean Pahler (Rumson, NJ) and Liam Hoare (West Newbury, MA) teamed up to advance to the quarterfinals of the Men's B Doubles with an 8-4 win.

In singles play, Pahler and Hoare, along with freshman Chris Toegemann and Tim McHugh (Edgartown, MA), advanced to the third round of Men's B Singles.

On the women's side, senior Caitlin Dunn (Middleton, MA) and Cristina Lucin (Wesley Chapel, FL) paired up in the Women's A Doubles, but fell in the second round.
