NORTH ANDOVER, MA- Four seniors of the Merrimack men's soccer team have been selected to participate in the New England Intercollegiate Soccer League Senior All-Star Game November 27. The match will pit the Division II seniors against their Division I counterparts and will be played at the Soldiers Field Soccer Stadium on the campus of Harvard University.
Sabadoz, a four-time Northeast-10 All-Conference selection, led the Warriors with 19 points this season. The two-year captain netted eight goals and added three assists on the year. Sabadoz became the third player in program history to collect 100 career points as he finished with 104 points in four years.
Plaza ranked fourth on the squad with eight points on two goals and four helpers this fall. A co-captain, he was tabbed to the Northeast-10 All-Conference second team for the first time in his career.
Lo Coco registered seven points on the season, tallying three markers and handing out an assist. The two-year captain converted two penalty kick attempts this year while also contributing to Merrimack's defensive efforts. Lo Coco earned Northeast-10 All-Conference accolades for the second-straight season, garnering second team honors this year.
Burokas paced the Warriors with five assists in 2011 and added a score to finish the campaign with seven points to his credit. Due to an injury, the senior appeared and started in 13 matches this fall.
Merrimack posted a 9-7-3 overall record with a 7-6-1 mark in the Northeast-10 Conference. The Warriors earned the No. 5 seed in the Northeast-10 Conference Tournament. Merrimack fell to fourth-seeded Le Moyne 3-2 on the road in the first round of the playoffs.
