NORTH ANDOVER, MA- Robbie Sabadoz (Ottawa, ON) of the Merrimack men's soccer team was recently selected to the CoSIDA Capital One Academic All-District team. This marks the second nod to the Capital One Academic All-District team in Sabadoz's career as he garnered the same distinction as a sophomore.
The senior striker owns a 3.84 grade-point average and is majoring in business at Merrimack.
A four-time Northeast-10 All-Conference pick, Sabadoz became the third player in program history to collect 100 career points. He will graduate as the third-highest scorer in Warrior soccer history with 104 points.
Sabadoz ranks second in program history with 45 career goals, tying him with Steve McAuliffe – the only other Merrimack player to earn All-America status.
Sabadoz was named to the Northeast-10 All-Conference first team for the third-consecutive season in 2011. A two-year team captain, he paced the Warriors with 19 points this fall on eight goals and three assists. Sabadoz netted a pair of game-winners this season while appearing in all 19 matches with 18 starts.
This year, Merrimack posted a 9-7-3 overall record with a 7-6-1 mark in the Northeast-10 Conference. The Warriors earned the fifth-seed in the Northeast-10 Tournament and were ousted in the quarterfinals following a 3-2 loss at fourth-seeded Le Moyne.
