Sabadoz Earns Fourth NE-10 POW

NORTH ANDOVER, MA – Despite an early exit from the
Northeast-10 Conference championship tournament, sophomore
Robbie Sabadoz (Ottawa, ON) of the Merrimack
men’s soccer team was named Conference Player of the Week for
a fourth time this fall.
In a season finale and fourth consecutive win for the Warriors,
Sabadoz scored both goals in a 2-0 win over the UMass-Lowell River
Hawks on Wednesday.
His second goal in the 88th minute from sophomore Evan
Burokas (Auburn, MA) matched the program record for
single-season goals (19) set by Rich Fleming in 1996.
Later in the week, the No. 4 Warriors took on the No. 5 Southern
Connecticut State University Owls and fell 2-1 on the road to end
their hopes of a Conference championship. Despite the loss, head
coach Tony Martone completed his fifth straight
season with 10 or more wins and a playoff berth.
