CoSIDA: Sabadoz Named to All-District Academic Team

NORTH ANDOVER, MA – On the heels of his Northeast-10 Conference Player of the Year achievement, Merrimack men’s soccer sophomore Robbie Sabadoz (Ottawa, ON) has been named to the 2009 Academic All-District Second Team by the College Sports Information Directors of America.

In addition to his knack for scoring goals on the field, Sabadoz excels in the classroom as a Business major with a 3.85 grade-point average in his second year at Merrimack College.

His 19 goals this fall led the Northeast-10 Conference and ranked in the top-five nationally for Division II. Helping his team to 11 wins on the year, Sabadoz and the Warriors captured a postseason berth as the No. 5 seed marking the fifth straight year Merrimack has finished in the top five and won at least 10 games.

Sabadoz’s 28 career goals ranks him eighth all-time in Merrimack’s program history while his 1.82 points per game is currently second in school history behind Rich Fleming (1.99)
