Men's Soccer Earns NSCAA All-Academic Honors


NORTH ANDOVER, MA - With a team GPA of 3.05, the Merrimack men's soccer team earned the 2009 NSCAA Team Academic Award for the 2008-09 academic year.

Nationally, a total of 476 teams (143 men, 333 women) achieved a 3.0 grade point average and thereby earned the NSCAA Team Academic Award for the 2008-09 academic year.

Merrimack was one of 99 schools nationwide to have the honor bestowed upon both men's and women's team.

On the men's side (3.09 GPA), Northeast-10 Conference Player of the Year, Robbie Sabadoz (Ottawa, ON) sports a 3.85 GPA as a business major after matching the program record for single-season goals (19) set by Rich Fleming in 1996.  Sabadoz was also fifth in the nation among Division II athletes in goals per game (1.12) this past fall on the Warriors' 11-7-1 campaign.
