Sabadoz and Motta Follow-up All-Conference with All-Academic

NORTH ANDOVER, MA - After helping the Merrimack College men's soccer team to an 11-7-1 record in 2009, sophomore Northeast-10 Conference Player of the Year, Robbie Sabadoz (Ottawa, ON) and all-Conference midfielder, Greg Motta (Saunderstown, RI) were named to the Northeast-10 Conference all-Academic team on Thursday.

With a school record-tying 19 goals (Rich Fleming: 1996) in the 2009 season, Sabadoz was named the Northeast-10 Conference Player of the Year as well as a Daktronics all-East Region First Team honoree. With a 3.85 GPA as a business major, Sabadoz was also named to the CoSIDA all-District Academic Second team.

Motta, a team captain and all-Conference second teamer for head coach Tony Martone, was also named to the 2009 all-Championship Team this past fall. Motta can also boast a 3.43 GPA as a Sports Medicine major at Merrimack.
