Lunney Named Northeast-10 Player Of The Week

SOUTH EASTON, MA – Merrimack men's lacrosse senior Corey Lunney (Little Silver, NJ) was named Northeast-10 Conference Player of the Week, as announced by the league offices on Tuesday.

Lunney received the recognition for the first time this season after receiving it on two occasions as a junior.

Lunney continued his high level of play on Saturday afternoon against Lake Erie as he racked up a game-high four goals to go along with one assist in the Warriors 11-10 victory. Lunney scored two fourth period goals to propel the Warriors to their first win of the season. Lunney currently ranks third in the country in goals per game averaging 3.50 goals per outing while also ranking eighth in the country in points per game averaging 4.50 points.

The Warriors return to the field this Saturday as they will travel to Springfield to take on the American International Yellow Jackets at 1:00 p.m. for their first conference game of the young season.
