Men's Lacrosse Moves up One Spot to #4 in The Inside Lacrosse Poll

NORTH ANDOVER, MA - The Merrimack men's lacrosse team moved up one spot to #4 in the country in the USILA Division II coaches poll. Merrimack is 2-0 on the season after defeating Limestone College in their last game.

The Warriors are coming off of a 12-11 victory over the Limestone Saints last week. Greg Melaugh (Billerica, Mass.) scored the game-winning goal with 12.8 seconds remaining in the game to propel the Warriors to the Victory over the #2 team in the country. Melaugh finished the game with a team-high five goals and a assist while DJ Brown (Huntington, NY) contributed with three goals in his first game of the young season.

Melaugh was named Nike Division II Player of The Week for his efforts against Limestone. The Warriors also defeated Dominican in their season opener by the score of 17-7.

The Warriors return to action on March 22 as they will travel to play Rollins College at Ridgefield High School in Connecticut for a 7 pm game.
