NORTH ANDOVER, MA – Merrimack hockey freshman Vinny Scotti (Vineland, NJ), senior John Heffernan (Scituate, Mass.) and Head Coach Mark Dennehy will be guests on ESPN New Hampshire radio this week leading up to Sunday's battle for first place at Lawler Arena against #4 Boston College at 4:00 p.m.
Scotti will be a guest on Wednesday afternoon at 3:00 p.m. while Heffernan will be on Thursday at 1:30 p.m. and Dennehy will be on at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday.
Merrimack (14-10-6, 12-6-3 HEA) defeated #4 Boston College on Friday by the score of 2-1 in overtime to take over first place in the Hockey East standings. The Warriors then tied Providence 2-2 on Sunday to maintain first place.
Scotti enters this weekend's contest against #4 Boston College ranked second on the team with six goals. Scotti scored a career-high two goals in the Warriors 2-2 tie against Providence on Sunday, one goal on the power play and the other on the penalty kill. Of Scotti's six goals, three have come on the power play while he also has one game-winning goal.
Heffernan has recorded four goals and six assists through 23 games so far this season and scored the game-tying goal against #4 Boston College last Friday in the third period, sending the game to overtime. He also ranks third on the team with a plus/minus rating of +6 for the season.
