Flanigan Named Lowe’s Senior CLASS Award First-Team All-American

NORTH ANDOVER, MA – Ryan Flanigan (Rochester, NY) was named Lowe's Senior CLASS Award First-Team All-American.

Flanigan was the only finalist from Hockey East among the final group of 12 hockey student-athletes.

He joins Chad Billins (Ferris State), Jack Connolly (Minnesota-Duluth), Keir Ross (Cornell) and Paul Weisgarber (Air Force) on the first team.

A three-time and likely four-time Hockey East All-Academic selection, Flanigan was one of 12 Merrimack student-athletes to earn a 4.0 in the fall.

As an assistant captain, Flanigan led Merrimack with 18 assists, 29 points, a +20 rating and 108 shots on goal.

The Lowe's Senior CLASS Award honors the attributes of senior student-athletes in four areas: community, classroom, character and competition.
