Da Costa, Team France Open World Championship Play Sunday

COLOGNE, GERMANY - In the opening game of the IIHL World Championship for France, Czech Republic upended France 6-2, while Stephane Da Costa (Paris, France) did not play due to an injury.

France takes on Sweden Tuesday at 2:15 eastern in its second game of the four-team Group C Round Robin.

Da Costa is the only player from France that currently plays in North America.

Da Costa, the NCAA Rookie of the Year, Hockey East Rookie of the Year, and Merrimack Male Rookie of the Year, will be joined by his brother Teddy Da Costa, who plays in Poland.
