Brandon Brodhag Named Pro Ambitions Rookie of the Week

NORTH ANDOVER, MA – Brandon Brodhag (Brooklyn Park, MN) earned his second Hockey East Pro Ambitions Rookie of the Week honor on Monday.

Brodhag scored three goals over the weekend, including the game-winner in overtime against Providence on Saturday. He scored twice on Friday at Lowell and has eight goals this season, all in Hockey East games, most among HEA rookies.

Playing in just 15 games, he is second among Hockey East newcomers with .92 points per game, behind teammate Stephane Da Costa (Paris, France).

Brodhag, who has four multi-point games this season, is a +3, tied for second on the team.

Merrimack returns to the ice on Friday when it hosts #13 University of New Hampshire at 7 p.m. The Wildcats, first place in HEA, are the only team to beat Merrimack, the best home team in Hockey East, at Lawler Arena this season.
