Anne Rounce, a 2007 Merrimack graduate, completed her second second at Merrimack with the biggest one year turnaround in program history.  With five wins in her first year, Rounce won a program-record 13 in 2009 and also took her team to the Conference semifinals for the first time in school history.  For engineering an eight-game improvement and national ranking as high as No. 8, she was recognized as the 2009 Division II Field Hockey Coach of the Year on November 16, 2009 by womensfieldhockey.com.

Rounce's class of 2013 recruits combined for 32 goals and 25 assists in the 2009 season.  Among the corps of freshman was co-Rookie of the Year, April Daugherty, all-Conference forward Jen Otis, midfielder Katie Zubkus and goalkeeper Kerri Bergquist.  Bergquist anchored a much improved defense that allowed just 2.42 goals per game while setting a program record for shutouts (4), wins (13) and games played (21).

Named the Merrimack head field hockey coach on April 16th, 2008, Rounce guided the 2008 Warriors to a 5-14 record, led by Northeast-10 All-Conference rookie team selections Victoria DeLacey and Stephanie Heasman.     

Rounce, who spent the 2007 field hockey season as an assist ant coach with the Warriors, played for four seasons at Merrimack, graduating with a degree in math and elementary education. She has worked at a number of camps in the New England area and successfully coordinated the first Merrimack alumni event in 2008, bringing back 17 alums of the field hockey program.

A South Windsor, Connecticut native, she was a team-captain in 2006, while posting two assists and firing 28 shots in 17 games. She finished her Warrior career with five goals and nine assists (19 points), while starting in 60 of the 72 games she appeared in. A two-year captain and recipient of the Team Leadership award in 2007, she was named the team MVP in 2004 and 2005.

Rounce currently resides in Andover and teaches in Lawrence, Massachusetts.
