SEVEN FORMER WARRIORS PARTAKE IN THIRD MERRIMACK FOOTBALL PRO DAY
NORTH ANDOVER, Mass. – Seven former members of the Merrimack College football team partook in the program's third-ever Pro Day Thursday morning on campus.
Led by Harlon Hill Trophy finalist and two-time Northeast-10 Conference Offensive Player of the Year Joe Clancy (Newburyport, Mass.), as well as fellow Warriors Shane Ferguson (Point Pleasant Beach, N.J.), Artis Holt (Baltimore, Md.), Quinn McDonough (Medford, Mass.), Michael Hubbard (Wakefield, Mass.) and Class of 2013 members Isaiah Voegeli (Hyannis, Mass.) and Kevin Marks (McKinley, N.Y.), the group of seven participated in a skills showcase highlighting all spectrums of their on-field ability and conditioning.
New England Patriots scout Brandon Yeargan conducted the day's workout, which included several events: the vertical jump, broad jump, bench press, shuttle cone runs, 40-yard dash, individual workouts and positional drill workouts. Several other National Football League (NFL) teams were also interested in attending the workout and received scouting reports afterward.
To conclude the morning's showcase, Clancy had the opportunity to run a variety of offensive plays with two of his favorite receiving options in Voegeli and Ferguson, while working in McDonough and Framingham State standout running back Melikke Van Alstyne from the backfield as well. Hubbard and Marks also had the opportunity to work out in position-specific drills.
