Shawn Loiseau Named Northeast-10 Defensive Player of the Week

NORTH ANDOVER, MA – Sophomore linebacker Shawn Loiseau (Shrewsbury, MA) was named the Northeast-10 Defensive Player of the Week on Monday.

Loiseau posted a game-high 17 tackles, leading the Warriors to a 14-12 victory over previously unbeaten Bentley University.

The Merrimack football team, on the strength of a defensive stand with the clock winding down, improved to 3-0 in the conference for the first time in school history with the win over the Falcons.

Loiseau is third in the conference with 56 tackles, averaging 11.2 per game.

Merrimack (4-1, 3-0 NE-10) looks to make five straight wins when it visits Assumption College next Saturday at 1 p.m.
