Allan Del Valle Jr. enters his fourth year as the Head Athletic Trainer at Merrimack. He works closely with the men’s ice hockey team while overseeing the entire Athletic Training program.
Del Valle comes to Merrimack after serving as an Assistant Athletic Trainer and Lead Clinical Coordinator for three seasons at Southern New Hampshire University. While with the Penmen, he worked primarily with the men’s soccer, men’s basketball, men’s lacrosse, men’s ice hockey, baseball and volleyball teams.
As Lead Clinical Coordinator, Del Valle’s responsibilities included constructing schedules, coordinating athletic event coverage and assisting in the supervision of other assistant athletic trainers.
He has also served as an athletic trainer at the 2011 Bay State Games, Nike Volleyball Camp and at Goffstown (NH) High School.
Del Valle graduated from Endicott College in Beverly, Mass., with a Bachelor of Science degree in Athletic Training in 2008. As an undergraduate, he assisted with providing care for the Gulls’ men’s lacrosse and football teams.
Del Valle also earned Masters’ Degrees in Business Administration in Global Studies and Marketing from Southern New Hampshire University.
He is a licensed athletic trainer in Massachusetts and New Hampshire while also holding a BOC certificate. DelValle is also a member of the National Athletic Trainers’ Association and National Strength and Condition Association.
