Warrior Cheerleaders

The Merrimack College Cheerleading program currently carries 13 cheerleaders. Open tryouts are conducted in the spring and fall.  The team cheers for the football team and both the men's and women's basketball teams.  The team also cheers at other college events throughout the year, upon request.   

Community service is an important aspect of cheerleading organization.  Every year, the team participates in at least one major community service project.  Previous community service events include, but are not limited to,  cheering for the Special Olympics, sponsoring a family every November for Thanksgiving dinner, and volunteering at the Lawrence Boys and Girls Club.  

Our main focus is to provide support and encouragement to our student-athletes.  We do this through our presence at the games.   Interested members are not required to tumble, but it is strongly encouraged.  However, we do have a conditioning requirement upon making the team.
